In 2015, the independent Japanese team MercuryStudio and the company Playism delivered Breakarts: Cyber Battle Racing. It was an unusual production with mechs. It offered a chance to sit behind the controls of the colossal machines to participate in races and to fight on the arenas. Three years later, its sequel, Break Arts II, debuted. Break Arts III described here, however, represents the third installment of this series.

Gameplay

In Break Arts III we watch the action from a third-person perspective (TPP).

Competing on tracks and arenas

The game allows us to take control over the mechs, and the gameplay varies depending on the chosen mode. Standard races were made available to us, in which we rush along the tracks, trying to cross the finish line in first place. There are also battles, in which we enter arenas and fight with other mechs, avoiding enemy attacks and trying to eliminate opponents. The icing on the cake are a kind of hybrid competitions, combining racing on tracks with the need to destroy our enemies.

Mech creator

The game has implemented an advanced creator that allows us to customize the mech to individual preferences. With the help of various modules, we decide whether our priority will be its speed and mobility, or strength and effectiveness of the attack. This last one determines the placement of weapons, which we can install in various places, like arms or even the back. We need to pay attention to the parameters of our mech, which are shaped by all our changes in its design.
