Call of Duty: WWII - Shadow War

Shadow War is the title of the fourth DLC to Call of Duty: WWII, an FPS from 2017, whose action was set during World War II. The add-on was developed by the authors of the original – Sledgehammer Games studio.

Mechanics

Call of Duty: WWII – Shadow War introduces three new maps to a competitive multiplayer. These are Airship, a secret base located among Alpine peaks, Chancellery (a French fortress that players visit after dark) and Excavation – a mine in Algeria, where European works of art and gold are stored.

In addition, the add-on brings a fresh mission to the War Mode, Operation Arcane, which takes us to a secret research facility in the Austrian mountains. The Allied forces plundering this site must steal secret data and schemes and destroy the contents of the hangar filled with NOLs. Performing the tasks entrusted to them, they can use new weapons (including the Tesla gun) and a mysterious serum that makes them super-soldiers.

The list of novelties closes with Frozen Dawn, the last chapter of the zombie campaign, in which Marie, Drostan, Olivia and Jefferson try to stop the forces of evil once and for all, helped by a powerful, deadly arsenal.

Technical aspects

Shadow War is a non-self-reliant add-on and requires a basic version of Call of Duty: WWII to work. DLC does not introduce changes in the audio-visual layer.
