The game does not have one specific storyline. The action takes place in typical fantasy land, combining elements of the European Middle Ages, Asian culture and supernatural elements. We play the role of a warrior who is a member of an organization taked with protecting the world from evil. Instead of a single campaign, we have a set of adventures of different lengths, most often unrelated to each other.
Chaos Chronicle is an RPG game focused mainly on combat. The game has a much simpler structure than the typical representatives of this genre. You won't find here the classic free exploration, because the whole game revolves around completing missions, in the form of several minutes of challenges, most often requiring us to defeat all opponents on the map.
At the beginning of the game, the player selects their hero and then recruits other party members who are called vassals here. The missions resemble beat'em up games, but we do not have direct control over the characters. Heroes automatically move to the right side of the screen and attack enemies by themselves. We only activate the special skills of each of the warriors in the moments that will bring us the greatest benefits.
Much of the fun revolves around collecting comrades in arms. In total, hundreds of heroes can join us and we should gather them in numbers larger than it is necessary for missions. This is due to the fact that one of the main ways of their development is to combine several weaker characters into one stronger one. There is also a classic improvement of statistics for experience points and buying progressively better equipment.
The game offers a single-player mode and the option to face other users in PvP battles. In the case of multiplayer games, players can join together in guilds and join forces to fight against competing organizations.
Chaos Chronicle features attractive two-dimensional graphics in somewhat eastern style. The characters are smoothly animated and the locations are varied, so you can look at the game with pleasure.
