Code Age Commanders is a Far East cRPG game. Yusuke Naora is responsible for the creation of the title, a man who has worked, among others, on the production of Final Fantasy X and Unlimited SaGa.

The thing is happening in a world whose existence is based on the Central Code - the foundation of all creation. Every ten thousand years Central Code causes a phenomenon called Rebirth, during which the Earth is completely destroyed and then discouraged anew. Humanity protects itself at this time in the giant Ark, where everyone is squeezed and frozen in order to wake up in the new world. Unfortunately, once not everything was successful - the Ark has failed.

We play the role of Gene, who survives a catastrophe, despite falling out of the Ark. The first thing we see when we regain consciousness is a group of deformed, black and white characters fighting each other. After a short inspection we find out with horror that we ourselves are reminding the attackers. The gene after the failed rebirth of the Earth became one of the mutants called Warheads, what is more, it turns out that we suffer from memory loss. As we recover our memories, we discover the nature of two-colour mutants and get to know our task to do.

The game consists in completing a series of missions, during which we fight countless number of fights. The plot is linear - it means that we get the next task only after completing the previous one. Gene is not the only character who takes part in the adventure, because the creators of the game have made available three more heroes, accompanying us on the trail (controlled by the Artificial Intelligence). Elements of cRPG are related to character development. After completing the mission we are awarded so-called code points (their number depends on our effectiveness in the extermination of monsters). For the points we buy attributes that increase Gene's abilities - attack power, range of distance weapon, amount of life energy, defense, etc. - for the points we earn.

As the game progresses, our ability to fight also develops. Turning the duels is not easy, not least because of the number of blows and combos that can be made. The creators of the game decided to create a hero control system that uses all the buttons of the pad. In combat, for example, by making melee blows, another button is responsible for hitting with the right hand and another button is responsible for hitting with the left hand. It is also interesting to be able to absorb Gene's enemies into his mutant's hand. Depending on which monster we absorb, various attributes (defensive and offensive) increase.

Code Age Commanders has a lot in common with the manga of Code Age Archieves, as well as playing on mobile phones of Code Age Brawls. All titles take place in the same world, but each has a different main character.
