Coffee Crisis is a funny beat 'em up in which we play the role of.... metal-listening baristas, fighting the invasion of aliens. The production is based on simple but satisfying gameplay, known for the games popular in the 90's, such as Golden Axe, Final Fight or Double Dragon. The independent developer Mega Cat Studios is responsible for its creation.
The ominous Smurglian breed found its way to Earth. The aliens will not rest until they steal the most precious things people have: heavy metal, free wi-fi and coffee.
Coffee Crisis is a classic representative of the beat 'em up genre. The action is observed from the side, from the so-called side-scroll perspective. While controlling our hero (several different characters to choose from) we move to the right and exterminate subsequent opponents with the use of different attacks and elements of the environment (which we can throw). The creators have prepared a set of different boards.
The game in Mega Cat Studios production also contains some elements of the genre of roguelike - the game lasts until the hero's death or the game is finished (so called single session gameplay), and an additional attraction are modifiers, thanks to which each approach will be slightly different from the previous one.
In Coffee Crisis we can play alone or with others - within the local cooperation mode. For the brave, there is also an extremely difficult Death Metal mode.
Coffee Crisis has a fairly simple, two-dimensional graphic design, which does not differ from the level to which we are accustomed to similar productions. A solid dose of humour deserves attention.
