An original platform game developed by an independent studio Grandé Games, employing classic gamepads as well as motion controllers. The player assumes the role of the titular Commander Cherry, a famous adventurer and inventor from another dimension. The gameplay focuses on traversing varied levels, jumping between platforms, avoiding traps and gathering items.
Commander Cherry's Puzzled Journey, released on PS4 and XONE, is an original platform game that uses an unusual hybrid control model that uses a traditional gamepad and a PlayStation Move motion controller or Kinect 2.0 at the same time. The game was developed by the debuting German studio Grandé Games.
In Commander Cherry's Puzzled Journey, we play the title Commander Cherry - an acclaimed traveler and inventor from another dimension. The character, characterized by exceptional intelligence, is the author of a unique device that can place and materialize in the real world various objects of various imaginative shapes. These, in turn, used as a platform, will help him reach many seemingly inaccessible areas, providing invaluable help in the numerous space adventures of the Commander.
Like in other classic platform games, Commander Cherry's Puzzled Journey offers a lot of different stages full of traps and items to collect. During the journey, our hero uses a special blaster which allows him to break through obstacles. Sometimes, however, to get to the rest of the map, the Commander will have to use his materializer. The originality of the game lies in the fact that the player has to make platforms themselves. We do it by making appropriate gestures or taking various poses, which are then processed to the screen with the use of an appropriate motion controller. The game stops and suggests the pose that the player should make in the given moment. As soon as a suitable pose is taken, a platform is created on which our protagonist can safely get further.
In Commander Cherry's Puzzled Journey, we can play alone or in cooperation with a friend who uses a second PS Move controller.
