Decoherence

Decoherence is a twin-stick shooter with tactical elements, allowing us to prove ourselves as robot constructors. The game was developed by an independent Colombian team Efecto Studios.

Mechanics

In Decoherence we play as robot constructors, fighting fierce battles in arenas by the side of our mechanical creations. Before starting the game, we build a squad of robots, each of which consists of a basic component and an action component. The former determines how the machine moves and affects its attributes, such as life points, weight and speed. The latter affects the functionality of the robot, making it an offensive, defensive or support machine.

When our robots are ready, we move to the tactical phase, in which we give them commands, so that when the battle starts they will behave according to our plan. Then there is nothing left for us to do but to start the actual battle, in which we take an active part, taking control over the selected robot. During dynamic clashes we observe the action from top-down view and the key to victory lies primarily in reflexes, agility and accuracy.

Game modes

Decoherence offers a roguelike single player mode, namely Entropy Tribunals. The mode includes a series of increasingly difficult battles, in which our task is to eliminate opponents and destroy the main enemy unit - Mainframe. In return we receive Hypercubes. They play the role of currency, which can be used to purchase various perks. In addition, the game features an expanded multiplayer mode based on PvP rules.

Technical aspects

Graphics of Decoherence game presents a decent quality. The whole game is kept in a colorful, cartoonish style.
