game release date for GBA:

Dogz 2 is a sequel to a 2006 release that belongs to a Ubisoft game series Petz. These games are simple simulators that let players look after different types of animals. This time, the game obviously concerns dogs. The sequel does not try to revolutionize the gameplay, instead relying on proven solutions from the first game. The title was developed by MTO studio, the creators of many other Petz games, including Dogz Fashion, Catz, Hamsterz Life, and Horsez. Dogz 2 was released exclusively on Gameboy Advance.

Just like in the first game, you start off by selecting a puppy. There are several dozen dog breeds, six more than before, including the pug and the boxer. You have to take special care of the puppy of your choice. This means providing it with proper food, washing, and playing with it. Many of these actions take a form of simple mini-games.

You can train your pet to do various tricks. This idea appeared before in the first Dogz, but now the selection of tricks was expanded by two new ones: roll over and fetch. As for pastime activities, you can take the pet for short walks, but also plan a longer trip. Besides, you can buy new toys and items clothing for your dog. The sequel features three new mini-games, which can be played at any time. On top of that, there is multiplayer mode based on similar rules as in the first game. Visually, the game looks much like its predecessor.

Game score 7.7 / 10 calculated out of 64 players' votes.
