Legacy is the title of an official DLC expansion to Dragon Age II, which was released for PC, PS3 and X360. The new adventure of Hawke and his party can be started at any point of the main campaign by interacting with the memorial in the family estate.
The story begins with the attacks of a dwarven Cartel which targets the members of the Hawke family, seeking to obtain their blood for no apparent reason. To stop this aggression, Hawke and his friends have to leave Kirkwall and head to the mountains of Vimmark, to the ancient Grey Warden’s prison. The place hides uncomfortable truths about Hawke’s father, as well as tips regarding the identity of his captors and the most powerful darkspawn in history.
In the described DLC, we explore a number of new areas. In addition to the prison, there is also a vast wasteland available. Not only well-known opponents stand on our way. There are also monsters absent from the main campaign to fight. These are for example brontos – great beasts which ram through their targets, as well as several varieties of genlocks (among other powerful genloks alpha hiding behind big shields). At the end of the adventure awaits a tough duel with the main boss, requiring a good tactic and party commanding skills.
Legacy offers a few hours of gameplay, and besides the main quests, we can also perform minor quests, such as killing demons we trapped earlier. There is also a whole new set of items for the main character. In addition, it is possible to use a special weapon-key which improves according to our preferences (e.g. increasing the chance to knock an opponent down or dealing additional fire damage).
