Drakensang: The River Of Time is a prequel to Drakensang: The Dark Eye, a great RPG released in 2008 by dtp. Both games were developed by the German studio Radon Labs, known for such titles as Project Nomads and Treasure Island.

In Drakensang: The River Of Time, we go back to the medieval world of Aventuria. This time around, we discover the events that took place before those presented in the first installment of the Drakensang series. The action takes place in the city of Nadoret to which we arrive in 1009 as a rookie adventurer. We are accompanied by the people we already know from The Dark Eye: Forgrimm, the dwarf, Ardo, the noble, and Cano, the thief. Our task is to uncover the truth about the pirates that are running free on the eponymous River of Time.
