game release date for PS1:
ECW Hardcore Revolution is the first ever fight based on the ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling) wrestling license. Acclaim Entertainment is responsible for developing the PS1 version and has also released the title on the Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color and Sega Dremcast consoles.
ECW Hardcore Revolution gameplay draws on a scheme created for WWF Attitude. The game is about playing spectacular duels - pressing the appropriate combinations of directional and geometric buttons leads to spectacular attacks and projections. However, this does not end with similarities to the above mentioned production, because some duels can be won, for example, by throwing a rival outside the ring, which is not the case in fights fought under the name of the ECW.
At our disposal are nearly forty realistic players and a few secret wrestlers, which can be unblocked during the struggle. In addition, it is possible to create your own character, which is allowed by an extensive editor.
The ECW Hardcore Revolution released on the PS1 platform contains more than twenty types of duels. There are classic one-on-one confrontations and clashes involving four wrestlers or even battles based on Battle Royal rules - thirty players (entering the ring at certain intervals) take part in them, and the last, which will stay alive, is declared the winner. All of this is complemented by fights based on specific rules, requiring, for example, execution of a spectacular final attack on the opponent.
In addition to playing alone, the title enables multiplayer gameplay in the company of up to three players.
ECW Hardcore Revolution is based on the technology that drives WWF Attitude. Joey Styles played the role of the commentator.
