NintendoWorldReport: 7.5 / 10 by Ted Hazell

As it stands, eFootball Kick-Off! is a great football game wrapped in a thin package. If you're here for modes, licenses, and the full modern football game circus, you may come away wanting a lot more. If you're here for the feel of PES, smooth 60fps football on Switch 2, and fancy building a team without being shaken upside down for your lunch money, then this is absolutely worth a look.

MKAU Gaming: 8.5 / 10 by Hayden Nelson

eFootball Kick Off! surprised me in more ways than one. As someone who grew up with PES and has a genuine love for football, I came into this expecting a fun football game, but I got an accessible and enjoyable experience that really carves out its own identity. It might not offer the depth some of the biggest football simulations offer. It offers fast-paced gameplay, polished visuals, and easy-to-learn controls, making it a fantastic title to pick up on the Nintendo Switch 2.

I don’t mind that eFootball Kick-Off is a smaller, slightly stripped-down version for the Switch 2, as it actually takes advantage of the system’s portability with more arcadey, “pick up and play” modes that feel like a match made in heaven for the console. It runs well, controls decently enough, and has enough content to keep you busy for a while, though this is the perfect case of a game that is best suited in smaller, twenty minute sessions at a time.
