Escape Simulator is a puzzle game in the style of escape rooms. It was developed by an independent team Pine Studio - authors of such productions as SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell or The Academy: The First Riddle. Moreover, the designers of the real escape rooms supervised it.

Plot

In Escape Simulator our task is to escape from many different rooms. Particular locations are divided into three parts, and each of them tells a different simple story. While in Labyrinth of Egypt we find ourselves in an ancient Egyptian labyrinth, Adrift in Space takes us on board of a damaged spaceship, which has taken a collision course with the Sun, and in Edgewood Mansion a Victorian mystery awaits to be solved.

Game mechanics

In Escape Simulator we observe the action from first person perspective (FPP). Game offers fifteen escape rooms. In each of these rooms we can find different puzzles, solving of which is necessary to find the way out. The puzzles solving is connected with the necessity of moving furniture and looking into every corner, studying notes found in the rooms (where valuable clues can be hidden) and even destroying some elements of the environment (like clay pots). The game also allows us to pick up every smaller object and take a closer look at it.

Game modes

Although Escape Simulator allows to play solo, the game shows its strengths in cooperative mode. Despite the fact that authors recommend playing in a team of three, there's nothing against inviting more players to the game. In addition, the title includes an extensive editor that allows you to create your own escape rooms filled with original puzzles.

Technical aspects

Escape Simulator features decent quality graphics, which doesn't stand out in comparison with other productions of this type. The whole game is designed in a colorful and clear, cartoonish style, which is especially visible on the character models.
