EverQuest: The Serpent's Spine Release Date PC

19September2006

EverQuest: The Serpent's Spine is the latest addition to Sony Online Entertainment's seven-year-old Sony Online Entertainment. Apart from a number of other elements, the most important novelty is the appearance, for the first time since the addition of Froglocks, of a new breed - Drakins.

Opposing the decisions of the Council of the Ancient Dragons of the Nest, six representatives of these powerful lizards, decided to take a dramatic step in defending their species. Thinking about the darker and darker looking future, they decided to create new beings, being a mixture of people and dragons - Drakins. These fast-growing hybrids (they reach full maturity in a few months) forget about their human roots and start their journey to Crescent Reach, the legendary city of their creators.

Drakkini are, of course, a race that players can choose as their avatar. As part of personalisation we have a quite wide range of colors and patterns of scales and corners. Crescent Reach itself, located in one of the ravines of Serpent Spine Mountains, the former headquarters of the Ogre, is a fully functioning city. This means that here we can find everything we need to live, develop and survive in the Everquest world, including merchants, quests, opportunities to acquire new skills and combat abilities.

The creators of Serpent's Spine have created a title that is suitable for every user, regardless of their experience - both beginners and veterans are welcome here. Although the new add-on raises the possibility of promotion up to seventy-fiveth level, in Crescent Reach we will find so many activities that starting from scratch, we will be able to reach the maximum without even leaving the city.

Almost traditionally, in the newest part we also find a number of new spells, objects and independent heroes. The authors of the game have also made some steps to make the environment more dynamic. We are now dealing with changing weather conditions, traps, as well as objects and environmental elements that can be used or destroyed.
