Fashion Police Squad Release Date PC
Fashion Police Squad is an old-school humorous FPS. It was developed by indie studio Mopeful Games from Finland, and it was published by No More Robots.
The action of Fashion Police Squad takes place in the fictional Trendopolis. On its streets fashion lawlessness begins to rule - people are seen wearing sagging pants, ill-fitting suits and even socks worn with sandals! This can't go on, so the eponymous Fashion Police Squad has to step in. As Sergeant Des, we set off into the city to put an end to fashion crime before it's too late for that.
In Fashion Police Squad, we observe the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). We move through Trendopolis (we can climb obstacles or use a belt like a rope to cover longer distances in the air) and face fashion bandits. Interestingly, we do not eliminate enemies.
This is because the shots from various sewing machines (which at first glance look and act like rifles, pistols and shotguns) do not injure enemies, but change their clothing, neutralizing the fashion threat from them. We deal with each fashion crime we encounter with different weapons; in addition to givens, explosive dwarves are at our disposal, among others. As a poorly chosen weapon will not make any impression on the enemy, we have to show not only dexterity, reflexes and accuracy, but also perceptiveness to recognize in advance what kind of fashion danger a given adversary poses. Besides regular enemies, whose defeat is not a major challenge, much more powerful bosses stand in our way.
Graphics in Fashion Police Squad is made in a colorful, pixel-art style inspired by the FPS of the early 1990s.
