A first person simulator of an American firefighter. Firefighting Simulator: Ignite allows to put out fires alongside three computer-controlled companions or other players. We can use a large American fire truck to reach places where people need help. The game also features various gear, like hoses, fire axes and ladders.
Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is game produced by the German weltenbauer studio, known for the Construction Simulator series. It is a game simulating the work of a firefighter. This sequel to Firefighting Simulator: The Squad shows action from a first-person perspective. It was created with the support of the Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy.
As a member of a four-person firefighting team, we fight flames, heat, and smoke, using hoses, saws, axes, fire extinguishers, ladders, or Halligan tools. The circumstances in which we need to fight the elements include electrical installation fires, trapped civilians, flammable liquids, and finally explosions.
In Firefighting Simulator: Ignite it's not enough to just run around with a hose. Each mission requires the application of real fire extinguishing strategies, such as ventilation to limit the spread of fire, cooling overheated objects, cutting through obstacles, and limiting air drafts. Choosing the right extinguishing agent is also crucial. Moreover, attention should be paid to signs of direct danger such as dense smoke seeping through closed doors and posing a risk of a severe disaster.
Between rescue operations, we spend time in the fire station, which serves as our command center. Here we can try out the fire extinguishing exercises and take a closer look at the faithfully recreated fleet of fire trucks. Upon receiving an emergency call, we choose the shortest route to the incident location and set off in one of our licensed vehicles.
Firefighting Simulator: Ignite offers solo gameplay (in which case our companions are controlled by AI) and an online coop for up to four people. We can also have fun in cross-platform mode.
The creators of Firefighting Simulator: Ignite provided a level editor, allowing for the creation of our own missions and sharing them with the gaming community via Mod.io.
Firefighting Simulator: Ignite runs on Unreal Engine 5.
