Flipper Critters Description
Zen Studios offered us a return to the old days of ball bouncing and produced a pinball game - Flipper Critters, albeit in a highly rejuvenated and attractive version for the portable, two screen Nintendo DS console.
As it happens in all flipper games, our task is to bounce the ball with two "paws" and score as many points as possible and achieve the set goals. All this is done in an unusual and fantastic scenery with a huge number of effects. City squares, mountain valleys, castles with high towers or even the surface of the Moon are just some of the original worlds that we are pleased to visit. There are also all very popular, known from many earlier pinballs, ramps, bridges, holes, reflectors, main winnings and goals.
The physics of the ball we reflect is excellent and makes it difficult for us to distinguish it from the real one, which makes the fun more attractive. As we progress, we have the opportunity to test a variety of mini-games (we gain new skills thanks to them), fully utilizing all the functions of the NDS console, such as a touch screen and even a microphone.
Throughout the game we have the opportunity to receive much needed help from peculiar inhabitants of the game world. These characters cast spells and offer additional tasks to complete, thanks to which we reach new areas and bonuses. The graphics are very colorful and allow us to feel the atmosphere perfectly.
