Planet of Lana is a hand-drawn 2D platformer developed by Wishfully and published by Thunderful.

Plot

The game tells the story of a young girl living on a peaceful, densely vegetated planet. The peace is cut short, however, by the arrival of a mysterious machine army. The plot doesn't focus on battling the invaders, but on the beautiful world the game is set in - and the protagonist's attempts to keep it beautiful.

Mechanics

The gameplay of Planet of Lana revolves around exploring vast 2D locations. The game is a side-scroller, tasking us with solving puzzles and facing unpredictable enemies. The main protagonist is accompanied by her catlike companion who plays a significant role in the game. Combat is nearly absent, most enemy encounters needing to be bypassed.

Technical aspects

The 2D visuals of Planet of Lana are fully hand-drawn. The game's beautiful locations are inhabited by strange creatures and patrolled by robotic invaders.
