The second installment of the popular flipper simulator, which is an improved and tweaked version of the original, released in 2007 by the team of Hungarian ZEN Studios. The title offers the mechanics known from the first part, but brings a lot of changes in technical matters. First of all, the graphic design of the game has been improved, as well as the physics of the cue ball's behavior and the behavior of individual table elements, which can be further modified using a special operator menu.

An original mixture of a platformer and a metroidvania game, developed by Villa Gorilla - a small Swedish studio. The game is set on Mokunama - an island where the player meets the protagonist - a sympathetic beetle. Working as a postman, he stumbles upon traces of a serious affair, the victim of which is an ancient divine being that had been taking care of the land. The insect's goal is to find a way to wake up the sleeping guardian in order to bring peace and order back to the island. What distinguishes Yoku's Island Express from other games of this kind, is that the developer borrowed elements of pinball. The beetle rolls a ball in front of himself - thanks to that ball, he can bounce off flippers installed in the environment in order to reach places difficult to access. The game is played from a side view and the core of the experience is made up of platforming elements, such as exploring, avoiding traps, eliminating adversaries or collecting valuable items.

The authors decided not to interfere too much in the module responsible for the mechanics of the game and simply created new tables based on the existing solutions, which does not mean that it was a good idea.

A third installment in the Pinball FX series. In the game developed by Zen Studios, the player can try out new, themed pinball machines, as well as import most of the machines from Pinball FX2 and Zen Pinball 2. The game attempts to translate the real pinball experience into a video game setting. The player is tasked with bouncing the ball with the so-called flippers located at the bottom of the table to hit multiple targets and keep the ball in the game for as long as possible, before it falls into the drain located at the bottom of the play field, below the flippers. The objective of the game is to earn the best score possible. In comparison to the previous installments in the series, Pinball FX3 puts a much stronger emphasis on the multiplayer experience as well as social aspects of the game. The players can enter friendly matches, compete within an online league and tournaments organized by the fans themselves. Moreover, the game delivers several single player modes allowing the player to increase their skills and familiarize themselves with general rules.

An arcade pinball that attempts to reintroduce the spirit of classic coin-operated flippers manufactured by Stern, a North American pinball manufacturer with over 40 years of development history. The game was developed by FarSight Studios – the authors managed to introduce classic tables and legacy ROMs based on the original code, as well as detailed walkthroughs for each device. When it comes to mechanics, the game is a classic flipper – our task is to keep the ball on the table using two mechanical paws called flipper bats. Each table contains additional ramps and bumpers that offer score bonuses and multipliers when hit. The basic version of Stern Pinball Arcade contains a single table named Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein – other tables are unlocked through paid DLCs. Aside from a large choice of tables, the game contains a local multiplayer mode. The game is characteristic for its high-quality yet dated style and realistic gameplay based on an advanced physics engine.

Another side installment in the popular Angry Birds series developed by Rovio. The story of the game is linked to the animated movie released in 2016. The main character of the game and the movie is a bird named Red. The protagonist wakes up with a hangover after a party and discovers that during the night someone destroyed the whole village. Sadly, all the evidence points to Red. He will have to prove his innocence. The gameplay of Angry Birds Action! combines the characteristic traits of the Angry Birds series with pinball elements. On each level of the game player is tasked with leading the protagonist to the eggs in order to save them. There is a limited number of moves available for completing the task. Character controls are similar as in other installments of the series, but this time the whole action takes place on the ground. The player must shoot Red in such way that the bird will slide and bounce from various obstacles until he reaches the target. Various objects with different properties and useful bonuses scattered across the map to make the game more interesting.

A mobile action game which combines pinball and painting in an rather interesting way. This unorthodox idea was created in the London-based studio State of Play. Similarly as in case of a typical pinball, in Inks the player bounces a ball by using flippers placed at the bottom of the screen. However, instead of an impressive pinball table, in this game the screen shows only a simple background with lightly drawn contour. The screen, which at first is gray, quickly gains new colors as each hit at the specially marked edges of the table makes colorful paints spill. Interesting, unique effects that can be considered similar to modern art, are obtained thanks to the splashes and streaks painted by the physical engine and the rolling ball. In addition to nice aesthetics of one’s creations, the player also receives points as a reward – the more accurately he hits various tunnels, ramps etc, the more points he gains.
