A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is fun if you’re looking for an entertaining horror game. It has a lot of fun mechanics that add a lot of nuances to each level while throwing in fun death mazes for you to navigate. But being said, the Death Angels AI isn’t the best, and many of the story beats aren’t as heavy-hitting as their movie counterparts.

GameSpace: 7 / 10

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is first and foremost a game for fans of the franchise. Horror fans can also give it a try and even get some emotions and challenges, but I'm afraid they won't live to see the end credits and will quietly leave to find another place to tickle their nerves.

Metro GameCentral: 6 / 10

It's altogether too authentic to the rules of the film but despite its slow-motion gameplay and contrived scenarios it's hard to imagine a better Quiet Place video game than this.

  • Unique Mechanics: The integration of microphone detection adds a novel layer to the gameplay, requiring players to be quiet and strategic in their movements.
  • Engaging Story Elements: While some found the story lacking, others enjoyed the exploration of character dynamics and the emotional beats present in the narrative.

The main cons of the game

The features or elements that are missing from the game according to users

  • More Complex Mechanics: Players expressed a desire for more diverse gameplay mechanics and challenges as the game progressed, rather than the introduction of half-baked features late in the game.

  • Character Depth: Many reviews pointed out the need for deeper character development and meaningful interactions to enhance player engagement with the story.
  • Improved Sound Mechanics: While sound was a core gameplay element, players felt that the sound design could have been better executed to enhance the tension without leading to frustration from instant deaths.

Summary
