Garfield Kart: Furious Racing is an arcade racing game developed by Artefacts Studio and published by Microids. The title, based on a license for an iconic comic book, is the second installment of a series initiated in 2013 by Garfield Kart.
In Garfield Kart: Furious Racing we sit behind the wheel of the title cars and play one of the eight characters from the comic book. We take part in crazy races. Each vehicle is driven differently and each competitor has different driving styles (as shown by their statistics). In addition to the famous cat, while playing we can take control of other four-legged animals (the dog named Odie, the mouse known as Squeak and cats: Nermal, Arlene, and Henry), as well as people (on whose list we can find Jon and Liz).
As was the case in the first installment of the series, the driving model is an arcade and enables for quick cornering in spectacular slides. In addition to mastering it, success ensures that you get to know each track thoroughly and find useful shortcuts, as well as making the right use of nine types of offensive and defensive power-ups. We are fighting for victory on sixteen different routes, which are located in places from the world of Garfield, such as Lake Palerock or the Pastacosi factory.
Garfield Kart: Furious Racing consists of three-game variants: Grand Prix, Single Race and Time Trial. The title can be played solo or compete for multiplayer online (with up to seven players) or on a split-screen (with three other players or, in the case of the Nintendo Switch version, seven).
Three-dimensional visuals of Garfield Kart: Furious Racing is maintained in a pleasant, colourful, cartoonish style. The characters are richly animated and the picturesque trails are full of a variety of eye-catching objects.
