Go to Hell Dave for PC is a project of Alex Byrom and the independent development studio Falchion Games. Relating to the classic point-n-click adventure games, the title features typicall British sense of humour.
The main hero – Dave – has lived a normal life of a normal guy. The things change when he crashes into a street lamp while giving his girlfriend a lift. Once he wakes up at the gates of Hell, he realises that his beloved is gone, Satan is nowhere around, and Hell is in total disorder.
Your task is to help the hero get through nine levels of Hell, which significantly differ from those described in the Bible or The Divine Comedy. Just like in any old-school point-n-click game, gameplay consists in exploring, chatting with NPCs, and solving puzzles. The creators peppered each of these elements with a large dose of absurd and characteristic, unsophisticated humour.
Go to Hell Dave features 2D cartoon graphics. The static, hand-drawn backgrounds and simple animations clearly relate to classic adventure titles from the 1990s.
