Release Date: July 19, 2018
Guts and Glory is a humorous and brutal arcade racing game in 3D, in which even reaching the finish line is the greatest challenge. This is because everything in the game’s world – from wooden logs, through stones, towers and explosive, up to buzzsaws – is trying to kill us.
Guts and Glory is an unusual racing game, in which even ending the race is a challenge. Tracks are filled with obstacles such as rocks, logs falling from above, bombs and blades that can quickly end our adventure. Quite obviously, the title is brutal and gory. It was developed by HakJak Productions.
Guts and Glory is a rather simple game. We observe the world from a third-person perspective, with a camera placed behind our character. We select a vehicle and a track and then try to reach the finish line while avoiding many obstacles along the way. Developers provided us with varied and amusing roads (we can choose e.g. forests, highways and towns), but we aren’t limited to predetermined courses. The game features a complex editor for creating our own tracks, which can also be shared with others thanks to integration with Steam Workshop.
Guts and Glory is purely single player game and offers no form of multiplayer experience.
Guts and Glory uses simple, but functional three-dimensional visuals. The one thing where the game somewhat shines are characters’ animations, especially with grotesque and gory death scenes.

Game Ratings for Guts and Glory Video Game.
Nindie Spotlight: 5 / 10 by Justin Nation
The game really breaks down into a gauntlet of different types of challenges that you’ll need to complete with a variety of characters...
FingerGuns: 3 / 10 by Rossko Keniston
It’s all a bit crap then, but to be honest there are laughs to be had. I can’t recommend you go out there and buy this game. In a July like this there are so many actually good games to go out and try and that you can’t be spending money on turgid nonsensical garbage like Guts & Glory.
Nintendo Life: 4 / 10 by Dom Reseigh-Lincoln
Guts and Glory is a really fun little indie that's burst out of the gates and onto Nintendo Switch, but the porting process has taken its toll. The basic rinse and repeat nature of its challenges and the madcap bloodbath of its physics are a laugh-out-loud combination while they last, but without the long-term appeal of the map editor and its library of user-generated content, the Switch version suffers as a result.
