Hotbunny Interactive is an independent development studio from Turkey, in existence since 2024. The team began by creating hacker-themed simulation productions. The first of these was ByteBurst, while another was HackHub, described here.
The gameplay in HackHub takes place entirely on a virtual computer screen. During it we play the role of a hacker trying to put an end to mass surveillance. The course of the plot is shaped by our choices and actions.
The list of tasks includes security breaches, network reconnaissance and database infiltration. Over time, the assignments become increasingly difficult, requiring more and more advanced skills and tools.
The latter are specialized programs that make our work easier. Their range expands as we progress, and in addition we can personalize them based on individual preferences and needs. We are talking about nslookup, which checks DNS information (for example, IP addresses of various domains), nmap, which scans the network for hosts or open ports, and hydra, which automates attacks on designated services.
The graphic design of the HackHub game consists of windows and other interface elements imitating the operating system and the programs running in it. The whole thing was prepared with both beginners and experienced users in mind.
