Hamsterz Life

Hamsterz Life is a game developed by MTO and released by Ubisoft. It belongs to Petz series, designed for the youngest players. The franchise lets players take care of different animals – horses, cats, dogs, and others. This particular game lets you care for your virtual hamster.

You can choose your pet from five breeds. Making the hamster happy requires you to feed, wash, and play with it. The most crucial is feeding – if you fail in that area, the little one will ask you for food. If you keep it well-fed, it will grow up in three days, but keeping it hungry may prolong the maturing period up to seven days.

The better you care for your pet, the bigger it grows, and the more strengths it has to build a so-called Ham-Country, a place with its own bakery, school, playground, bookstore, and more, where other hamsters can move to.

You can teach your pets new tricks – e.g. to greet you accordingly to the time of day (“good morning” or “good afternoon”). If you tell the hamsters the date of your birth, they will come and wish you happy birthday at that day. Moreover, you can use the stylus to teach them how to show different emotions.

Hamsterz Life features a couple of mini-games, which let you earn money for new toys and accessories for your pets, such as wheels, carousels, and balls.

The stylus is not the only DS console’s feature used in the game. You can also use the microphone, to talk directly to hamsters, and wireless connection that allows yours and your friend’s pets play together.
