Herobound: Spirit Champion Description
Herobound: Spirit Champion is a sequel of Herobound: First Steps. The game was developed by the authors of the previous title, i.e. Gunfire Games - a team founded in 2014 by former members of the now non-existent Vigil Games, which provided two installments of the popular Darksiders series.
Story
Knowledge of Herobound: First Steps is not required for playing Herobound: Spirit Champion. The game takes us to a fantasy world created by the spirits of the five elements - fire, earth, air, water and life. Each of them rules of one of the five lands, which wasn't to the liking of the spirit of fire. He declared war on the others, depriving them of their power and taking over their domains, where he placed his own guards. The world under his rule began to race towards extinction, so a brave goblin - the hero controlled by the players - set out to defeat the spirit of fire and restore the old order.
Mechanics
In Herobound: Spirit Champion the action is shown in isometric projection - however, we have the possibility to zoom in and look around the surroundings. As befits an action-adventure title, during the game we travel through various locations, solve puzzles (consisting mainly in manipulating switches and moving objects) and collect items such as new types of weapons, as well as elements of equipment necessary to push the action forward.
Real-time combat is also important - the key to success is avoiding attacks and chaining attacks into combinations, and from time to time it's also worth taking using the bow.
Technical aspects
Three-dimensional graphics of Herobound: Spirit Champion adopt a cartoonish style. The production was created with VR goggles in mind and requires them to work.
