High Heat Major League Baseball 2002 is the successor to the popular Sammy Sosa High Heat Baseball series. Compared to its predecessor, the game contains many improvements and novelties, including current data about the teams and their line-ups. Added a new training game mode, Pitching Practice, allowing you to practice in any stadium of your choice. Much more interesting are the voice comments during the matches, thanks to two leading journalists: Dave O'Brien comments on the action on the pitch, and Ray Fosse from Oakland Athletics makes his analysis of the actions of both teams. Conversion tools are available to convert a saved season from Hight Heat 2001 to Hight Heat 2002.

The number of possible players in the team has been extended to 35 players. In all-season and championship mode, the September player schedule increases to 40 players. Real MLB league statistics and current rules have been introduced allowing, for example: the batoner to move to the end of the field to gain an advantage over the catcher, which in turn can now capture a long pass even from outside the field; removing from the league a player who has been excluded from the game; placing on the reserve bench for discussions with a referee, etc. The player can now be placed on the reserve bench, and the player can be placed on the reserve bench. Animated base coaches at the first and third base advise players when to slide, run or stand. New atmospheric effects have been introduced, such as rain, which can even cause the match to be interrupted. All the time we have access to lists of all injured people, containing a detailed description of the types of injuries. Increased artificial intelligence of computer players, coaches and team managers.
