A team-based (3 vs. 3) fighting game, based on the manga by Yoshihiro Togashi and the anime adapting it. Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact allows us to play as the recognizable characters from the original, taking part in battles and using an intuitive combo system.
Hunter x Hunter is a manga created by Yoshihiro Togashi, which debuted in 1998 in the Japanese magazine Weekly Shonen Jump. The manga was eventually adapted into an anime. Years later, it was also taken on by Eighting studio, which, in cooperation with Bushiroad Games and Arc System Works, prepared a fighting game based on it titled Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact.
The pillar of the gameplay in Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact are 3 vs. 3 team battles, fought in arenas shown from the side. During the game, we take control of characters known from the manga original, which have been diversified in terms of fighting style.
The developers decided on simple controls, so we perform combos simply by holding down the "rush" button and repeatedly pressing the attack button. However, to launch combos, we need the so-called aura, which we charge during the duel. The more we fill up the aura indicator, the greater the damage we will inflict.
As befits a team fighting game, we can switch between characters at any time. Thanks to this, we can smoothly link their attacks into spectacular combinations. The key to success is to compose a team whose members will complement each other on the battlefield.
We can play Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact alone or in multiplayer mode. A story mode has been prepared for singleplayer, presenting events from the anime. We can also engage in duels with characters controlled by AI or hone our skills in training stages.
We can fight with other players over the Internet or on a shared screen.
The graphic design of the game Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact was maintained in manga style.

Game Ratings for Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact Video Game.
WayTooManyGames: 6.5 / 10 by Leonardo Faria
If all you’re looking for is a quick arcadey game based on Hunter x Hunter, then sure, I guess Hunter × Hunter: Nen × Impact is exactly what you’ve been waiting for. Technically speaking, it’s a sound game. It looks great, runs smoothly, it’s got some decent voice acting, and the controls are decent. What hurts is that the game is way too expensive for what little it offers in terms of modes and its current fighting roster.
Final Weapon: 2.5 / 5 by Andrew M. Brown
Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact is the series' first globally released game and brings fun 3v3 gameplay with strong presentation and solid training tools. However, it's held back by questionable design choices like awkward offline modes, a lack of motion inputs, an 8-button control scheme not friendly to arcade stick/hitbox users, and no cross-play. It's completely out of step with modern fighting game standards, and while the game does have potential, it needs major updates to fully satisfy both casual fans and competitive players.
Game8: 54 / 100 by Michael Gerra-Clarin
Long-time fans of HUNTER x HUNTER have waited for a video game adaptation that does the franchise justice. Sadly, it seems they’ll have to wait a little longer, as this one is plagued by numerous modern fighting game pitfalls and its unjustifiable price.
