An FPS tactical extraction shooter, prepared primarily for the online co-op experience. Incursion Red River transports us to an alternative version of modern Vietnam. We play as a mercenary working for the military organizations and carry out various contracts for them.
Incursion Red River is an extraction shooter, designed primarily for cooperative play. The game was developed by the Games of Tomorrow studio.
Incursion Red River takes us to an alternative version of modern Vietnam. After the fall of the Soviet Union, the country became the arena of a secret conflict waged by China and the United States, which tried to make it their sphere of influence. To make matters worse, the prevailing situation there led to the collapse of society. When the decision was finally made to start an international military intervention, it quickly turned into a full-fledged war involving various militias and private military organizations.
During the game, we take on the role of mercenaries who work for the military groups and go to Vietnam and carry out the tasks set before them. Their goal is not so much to restore order in the ruined country, but to fill their wallets with cash.
In Incursion Red River we watch the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). The driving force of the game are missions that we carry out for various military organizations. Since our opponents often interfere with our actions, we frequently have to resort to using weapons.
It depends only on us how we will get rid of enemies. We can attack frontally with a pistol or machine gun in hand, act silently eliminating adversaries from hiding, or keep enemies at a distance using a sniper rifle.
After accomplishing the mission objective, we still need to safely reach the evacuation point for the task to end successfully. As we progress, our reputation grows, so over time we gain access to increasingly difficult (and therefore better paid) assignments.
Between the missions we go to our hideout, where we can purchase new equipment and test it at the shooting range, buy various improvements, modifications and additions to our weapons (the game allows us, among other things, to customize barrels, grips, stocks, sights and magazines), have a chat with other players or finally accept new contracts.
Incursion Red River can be played both solo and cooperatively online for up to four people. During co-op play, the key to success is coordination of actions and proper planning of the next moves.
Incursion Red River uses the Unreal Engine.
