Jungle Kartz
Release Date: November 18, 2011
Jungle Kartz is an arcade go-kart race produced by Wired Productions. Players have the opportunity to steer the best raiders from among the animals living on the tropical island and take part in the exciting struggle for the title of karting king of the jungle.
Jungle Kartz Description
Jungle Kartz, released on PC and Wii, is the response of Wired Productions and Nordic Games to the extremely popular go-kart racing series like Mario Kart and ModNation Racers.
Mechanics
The action is set on a tropical island. The animals living there enjoy various motor sports, especially go-kart racing. The best drivers are waiting for the tournament to start. The winner will win the title of the king of the jungle.
Players have at their disposal 8 characters (Sass, Zero, Gus, Ashley, Sal, Dixie, Rocky and Bob), each with unique skills. Also, each character has 4 favorite tracks, where they gain a slight advantage over their competitors. During the game, you can drive a total of 10 go-karts (two of them are initially unavailable) - from small and maneuverable to heavy but fastest.
Jungle Kartz has 8 thematically diversified locations (Tropic Bay, Arctic Point, Deep Forest, Rift River Valley, Cinder Flow, Homestead Ranch, Redstone Canyon and Ra Desert) giving the player 32 tracks.
Game modes
The game offers three game modes: Quick Race, Time Trial and Tournament, in which you can compete with computer artificial intelligence or other players. Both the driving physics and the controls have been simplified as much as possible.
Technical aspects
The audiovisual layer of Jungle Kartz clearly stands out from competitive productions. The three-dimensional graphics don't have many detailes, and the quality of the animation leaves a lot to be desired. Friendly heroes and bright colors may appeal to less demanding young gamers.
