Refreshed version of Catamari Damacy, an unusual logic game from Namco (later known as Bandai Namco) in 2004. The task of players is to roll the ball and increase its weight by collecting more objects.
Katamari Damacy Reroll is a remastered version of Kamatamir Damacy, an original combination of a logic and action game from 2004 developed by Namco studio (a year later transformed into Bandai Namco as a result of a merger with Bandai). The original game started its own series and the main character became one of the company's smaller mascots.
The story of Katamari Damacy Reroll begins when the King of All Cosmos accidentally removed all the stars. To repair the damage caused by him, the King sends his son (simply known as the Prince) to Earth to collect the materials needed to rebuild the destroyed astral bodies.
Katamari Damacy Reroll doesn't change the gameplay model known from the original title. During the game, we direct the Prince rolling the titular Katamari - a magical mass, to which smaller objects stick. Each item collected increases the size and weight of the Katamari, so that larger and larger items stick to it, from pins, sweets, etc., to mountains and clouds. But be careful, because collisions at a higher speed may cause us to lose some of the objects collected, and the bigger the Katamari, the harder it is to control it. Over time, we will unlock new difficulties and new types of missions.
In addition to the single-player mode, Katamari Damacy Reroll offers the option to compete with friends in split screen mode. Players find themselves in a small arena as separate characters and try to collect as many objects as possible.
Katamari Damacy Reroll's three-dimensional visual setting is maintained in a characteristic style, slightly angular and strongly cartoon-like. The authors have limited themselves to adding higher quality textures and improving the performance of the game. In addition, the Nintendo Switch version allows the use of Joy-Cons as motion controllers.

Game Ratings for Katamari Damacy Reroll Video Game.
TheSixthAxis: 9 / 10 by Miguel Moran
Whenever there's a conversation about video games and if they can be considered art, Katamari Damacy needs to be involved. 15 years ago, it arrived on PlayStation 2 touting an absolutely unheard of style of gameplay, art and music. 15 years later on the Nintendo Switch, and it remains one of a kind. Katamari Damacy is a wholly unique video game, and it is an unabashed love letter to the copy-and-paste pop aesthetic of Japanese 1990s pop culture. It's bright, weird, silly and cute, and is a must play for anyone, anywhere.
COGconnected: 85 / 100 by Stephanie Sung
Katamari Damacy Reroll is a fantastic remake of a piece of nostalgia. While some of its kinks still need to be worked out, it remains an experience that is nothing short of brilliant and is a lot of fun. Not to mention, it is easy to pick up and learn. With its exceptional soundtrack, Katamari Damacy Reroll should continue to thrive for years to come.
PlayStation LifeStyle: 8 / 10 by Rebecca Smith
Despite this, Katamari Damacy Reroll is a faithful remake even if it keeps the rough with the smooth. All issues were ones also found in the original game, so they're not exactly the fault of Monkeycraft. Fans of the franchise will have a blast replaying the game that started it all. Those who are new to the franchise might get a little frustrated with some of the dated design issues like the controls, but it's a great place to start for anyone who's curious about the strange ball-rolling world of the King of All Cosmos.
