A Game About Digging a Hole was released in February 2025 and it quickly gained popularity. It's no wonder that over time it gained followers. One of them is the sandbox game Keep Digging described here, developed by the independent Japanese studio Wild Dog.

Gameplay

In Keep Digging we watch the action from a first-person perspective (FPP).

Work tools

During the game, we play as characters digging a hole in the ground, the maximum depth of which is 1000 meters. We are given a wide range of tools, including shovels and pickaxes, steel ropes, as well as batteries or dynamite. A helpful tool is also a colorful spray that allows us to mark interesting objects.

Finding loot and improving equipment

Digging through 10 layers of soil, we discover not only deposits of valuable resources, but also remnants of ancient civilizations and their technologies, as well as other treasures. Everything we find, we can either use directly for the development of equipment, or sell, and then spend the accumulated funds on purchasing upgrades. They prove to be necessary in order to dig deeper and deeper.

Customizing diggers

The icing on the cake is the ability to customize the character's appearance according to individual preferences. As we progress, we unlock skins and gestures for them.
