A cross between a first-person culinary simulation and a horror adventure, reminiscent of the game Kiosk. In Late Hours we work the night shift at a burger joint, serving customers, grappling with personal issues, and dealing with the threat of a masked killer.

Although the combination of a cooking simulator and horror may seem quite exotic, there are productions that prove such hybrids can indeed work. In the past we got games like Kiosk or Happy’s Humble Burger Farm. This group also includes Late Hours which was created by independent developers Miguel and Yasmany Roman.

Gameplay

In Late Hours the action is viewed from a first-person perspective (FPP). During the game we take on the role of Dylan or Rachel - one of two characters working the night shift at the 24-hour burger joint Greasez’s.

At first glance, our job seems quite ordinary. We have to take and fulfill incoming orders, personally selecting ingredients and preparing meals for hungry customers, as well as cleaning up after them once they leave our establishment.
