LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues for PC, X360 and etc. is a continuation of the LEGO-based adventures of Indiana Jones, the famous archeologist/traveller created by Steven Spielberg. The second installment of the series enables us to take part in the events from both the original trilogy, as well as his latest adventure: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Plot

When it comes to the original trilogy, we are left with additional missions that shed new light on the events that received less screentime, including the famous pursuit through the streets of Shanghai seen in the second movie. Our hero has also been subjected to a number of changes, as he is now equipped with a set of new animations, as well as a more useful whip which enables him to pull his opponent in and perform a wrestling throw. The story seen in the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull allows us to assume control over Mutt William, and engage in adrenaline-inducing pursuits using his trademark motorcycle or witness the power of the titular Crystal Skull.

The main cons of the game

  • Mini-Kits and Collectibles: The game lacks the traditional mini-kits and collectibles system that was a hallmark of earlier LEGO titles, leading to a sense of lost depth.

  • Character Unlocking Mechanism: Players expressed frustration with the new character unlocking system, which is seen as cumbersome compared to previous games.
  • More Diverse Level Design: There is a call for more varied and complex level designs, as many levels feel too similar and simplistic.
