Lucius Demake is a special version of Lucius (a horror adventure game that debuted on PC in 2012), stylized on a production from the 1980s. The title was developed by the authors of the original, the independent Shiver Games studio.

Plot

The action of Lucius Demake begins on June 6, 1966, when Lucius, the titular six-year-old boy, showed his true colors. The hero's soul has been possessed by Lucifer himself, and on his birthday he decides to murder all the people living in the Dante Manor estate. By progressing through the game you unlock new plot points, and the player can find out in what circumstances the family has encountered the evil forces for the first time.

Mechanics

The action in Lucius Demake is observed from above. In the course of the game, we walk through the property and set deadly traps for our victims, trying to make each death look like a tragic accident. This is facilitated by the fact that as we progress through the game, the protagonist gains supernatural abilities, such as telekinesis or mind control. Moreover, from time to time, we solve environmental puzzles, focused on searching for objects and using them in a specific way.

Technical aspects

Lucius Demake's two-dimensional graphics are kept in a retro pixel-art style. The same applies to the sounds - dialogues aren't voiced, and the gameplay is accompanied by chiptune soundtrack.
