Luna Abyss is a science fiction FPS with platform game and bullet hell shooters elements. The game was developed by the indie studio Bonsai Collective.
Luna Abyss takes us on a journey to the sci-fi universe, or more precisely - to Luna, the title moon. The game's protagonist is a prisoner who is given the task of venturing deep into the Abyss that stretches beneath the surface of this globe and recovering forgotten technology. Along the way, the protagonist must also find out what terrible fate befell the once prosperous colony and the city at its heart, Greymont. Admittedly, the protagonist is doomed to herself, but her actions are closely watched by Aylin - an Artificial Intelligence acting as a guardian.
In Luna Abyss we observe the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). We must constantly be on guard, as danger lurks here at every turn. We dash ahead, jump over chasms and avoid numerous traps, as well as face various opponents. On our way stand terrifying monsters and tainted souls that roam the Abyss. Clashes with enemies are extremely dynamic, and during them the screen is covered with a storm of projectiles. In order to succeed, we must be in constant motion, avoid enemy fire and conduct accurate firing from futuristic weapons, which are on the heroine's equipment.
Luna Abyss features high-quality graphics. Particularly noteworthy are the detailed designs of the locations and realistic, dynamic lighting.

Game Ratings for Luna Abyss Video Game.
Duuro Magazine: 9 / 10 by Krist Duro
Luna Abyss surprised me in the best way. It looks familiar for about five seconds, then reveals itself as something much stranger, smarter, and more exciting. The combat has a brilliant rhythm, the movement feels phenomenal, the world is wonderfully bizarre, and the level design constantly rewards curiosity and confidence. It is one of those games where the phrase "FPS with a twist" actually means something.
TheSixthAxis: 7 / 10 by Miguel Moran
Luna Abyss struggles with crafting consistently rewarding gameplay moments, but even the dullest of shooting sections is worth getting through in order to inch further into the wonderfully weird world and unforgettable story of this game.

I played this on Xbox Series X, and it plays exceptionally well. Furthermore, each level is nicely varied. The deeper you go, the weirder things become. This allows the developer to go crazy with their ideas, and they didn’t hold back. The result is a strange experience that will surprise you at each turn. The audio is one of the standout elements of this game. It mixes melancholy and haunting sounds with aggressive and upbeat combat layers. The result is a dynamic soundscape that brings the action to life while enhancing the horror edge. The controls are well considered. The excellent UI ensures that you can swap between weapons with speed, and this was essential. Moreover, the inputs are tight, and this supports each platforming moment. Consequently, despite the challenges you’ll face, the control setup will not get in your way. Sadly, Luna Abyss is painfully short. I think I invested around 15 hours, and I took my time. Had I pushed harder, I would have completed it in around 10 hours. This was unfortunate, but a good return for an AA title.
