Luna Abyss is a science fiction FPS with platform game and bullet hell shooters elements. The game was developed by the indie studio Bonsai Collective.
Luna Abyss takes us on a journey to the sci-fi universe, or more precisely - to Luna, the title moon. The game's protagonist is a prisoner who is given the task of venturing deep into the Abyss that stretches beneath the surface of this globe and recovering forgotten technology. Along the way, the protagonist must also find out what terrible fate befell the once prosperous colony and the city at its heart, Greymont. Admittedly, the protagonist is doomed to herself, but her actions are closely watched by Aylin - an Artificial Intelligence acting as a guardian.
In Luna Abyss we observe the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). We must constantly be on guard, as danger lurks here at every turn. We dash ahead, jump over chasms and avoid numerous traps, as well as face various opponents. On our way stand terrifying monsters and tainted souls that roam the Abyss. Clashes with enemies are extremely dynamic, and during them the screen is covered with a storm of projectiles. In order to succeed, we must be in constant motion, avoid enemy fire and conduct accurate firing from futuristic weapons, which are on the heroine's equipment.
Luna Abyss features high-quality graphics. Particularly noteworthy are the detailed designs of the locations and realistic, dynamic lighting.

Game Ratings for Luna Abyss Video Game.
Push Square: 8 / 10 by Aaron Bayne
Luna Abyss is a AA shooter that holds its own against some of the elite of the genre. Its enticing and ominous sci-fi world is a delight to look at artistically, even if its muddy graphics let it down on closer inspection. Its story is fine, but a slick sense of progression keeps its action and platforming interesting from start to finish.
Digital Chumps: 8.5 / 10 by Ben Sheene
Luna Abyss crafts a distinctly bizarre, moody universe using the framework of a first-person shooter. Through all its familiar elements it blends genres in delightful and surprising ways, constantly surpassing expectations.
Indie Games Devel: 9 / 10 by Luca Buelli
Luna Abyss stands as a powerful reminder of what video games can still achieve as an artistic medium. Not merely entertainment, nor spectacle alone, but a fully authored experience capable of leaving a lasting psychological and emotional imprint. Kwalee Labs delivers a shooter that unsettles, absorbs, and resonates with remarkable confidence, supported by striking art direction, an unusually mature narrative, and gameplay that remains cohesive, precise, and assured in its identity. While the experience intentionally leaves certain questions unresolved and suffers from occasional readability issues in a small number of late-game boss encounters, these remain minor shortcomings within an otherwise remarkable achievement. Luna Abyss is a dark, oppressive, and deeply evocative descent into a world consumed by faith, decay, and obsession – an experience that gradually pulls the player deeper into its depths until nothing remains except the Abyss itself. And when the credits finally roll, the feeling that remains is immediate and unmistakable: the urge to descend once more.
