Man of Prey is another tactical third person view strategy (TPP), created by the genre's Russian studio Apeiron, known for such games as Brigade E5: New Jagged Union or 7.62 High Calibre. This time the source of inspiration for developers was Berkema Al Atomi Marauder's novel.

The plot of the game presents an alternative vision of the fate of the Russian Federation. After the collapse of the previous governments, a group of businessmen took power in the state, interested only in the robbery extraction of crude oil and other valuable raw materials. The country has fallen into anarchy and the people are forced to fight for survival.

The main character - Ahmet is a former military man living in the city of South Ural. In difficult realities, he tries to protect his loved ones and provide them with a decent existence. In a world where brutal force is the only law, determination and the ability to make difficult decisions count.

Man of Prey combines elements of tactical strategy and cRPG. Linear gameplay has been divided into a number of missions to complete, among which the player has the opportunity to visit the bazaar (interestingly, the currency in the game are cartridges), strengthen their base or develop the skills of the characters after promotion to the next levels of experience. The battles are fought with the use of an active pause system. You can stop the action at any time during the clash to give commands to the heroes.

Man of Prey's audio-visual setting is based on solutions known from previous Apeiron games. The scenery of the city of South Urals falling into ruin does not impress either with the number of details or the quality of workmanship. The character models also leave a lot to be desired. The possibility of destroying many elements in the environment of the heroes and a relatively clear user interface remains to be sheltered.
