MEG 9: Lost Echoes for PC is an action game with strategy elements. The game was developed by Skunkwerk Kinetic.

Plot

The campaign takes us into distant future, to a place called Proability Aperture. It’s a small alternative dimension, created artificially for research purposes by a powerful corporation Quantum Multiphasics. The world was governed by Horizon – a research facility in which a series of ambitious, but dangerous experiments was performed. One day, the contact with the whole base was cut off; while it’s autonomous AI started sending SOS signals. The players assume the role of a pilot employed by the corporation to take over a remotely controlled battle vehicle called Rig. Our task is to use it to find out what has happened in the facility.

The universe and the plot were written by William Gibson, the legendary science-fiction writer, responsible for such classics as Neuromancer, Count Zero, or Mona Lisa Overdrive. The writer is known as the father of cyberpunk, the subgenre popular for its bleak, "high tech low life" setting. MEG 9: Lost Echoes is the author’s first foray into video game territory.
