Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots PS3

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for PS3 is another installment in a bestselling series of action games released since the second half of the 80s. However, it is the first installment to be created for the PlayStation 3 console. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots demonstrates huge capabilities of the console in terms of generating high-quality three-dimensional graphics. Spectacular visuals are clearly a great advantage of the game - they are not as realistic as they're just natural.

Story

In Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for PS3, the player assumes the role of Solid Snake - the character is back in the foreground after Naked Snake from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (Big Boss later), and somewhat unconvincing debut of Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. As a result of genetic experiments carried out during the operation on the island of Shadow Moses (Metal Gear Solid), Snake got old. He has got a thick grey shag on his head, a silvery moustache, wrinkles, etc. Of course, he still wears a combat suit and a band on his forehead, but he often gets tired due to the changes that happened to his body. For instance, he can have a spasmodic cough that makes him less efficient in combat. In such a situation, syringes with a medicine are helpful.

Gameplay

In Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for PS3, the protagonist has a wide variety of weapons at his disposal, but he also has a gadget worn on the eye, called Solid Eye System. This allows to make accurate analyses of the surrounding area by displaying a tactical chart for example. Snake relieves himself of undesired tensions by smoking the inherent cigarette. A scientist by the name of Otacon offers help when the circumstances seem to be hopeless. Such situations are very common in the game, for the creators present a different kind of environment to that which the players could see in MGS 3. Although the concrete jungle is not inhabited by regular citizens, there are heavily armed soldiers patrolling the area constantly, accompanied by dangerous machines. The creators implemented a greatly advanced AI of the enemies. Thus the player can even frighten an enemy by performing adequate actions.
