A classic two-dimensional platformer by Mexican studio EnsenaSoft. The action takes place in the unspecified future in which Earth has fallen into ruin, covered with garbage. After the collapse of human civilization, new life forms emerged and, having underwent numerous mutations, eventually turned into hostile creatures. Designed to dispose of not only garbage but also mutants, the eponymous robot, called MOP, is here to save the day.
MOP: Operation Cleanup is a classic 2D platformer released on PS4, WiiU, etc. The game was developed by the Mexican company EnsenaSoft, which has been producing and releasing small games for PS4, WiiU, etc. since 2009.
The action of MOP: Operation Cleanup takes place in the unspecified future, where the Earth has turned into a ruin covered with a thick layer of waste. Worse still, the forms of life that exist among the rubbish have undergone mutations, turning into aggressive creatures. The titular MOP is humanity's last hope - a unique robot model that has been designed to clean up the polluted environment (including mutants).
In terms of gameplay mechanics, MOP: Operation Cleanup is reminiscent of the classic 2D arcade games. While moving towards the right edge of the screen, we jump on platforms, avoid traps (e.g. acid tanks, underwater mines) and collect various items, which sometimes provide the hero with various bonuses. In addition, we must watch out for opponents and either eliminate them (usually in a classical manner, e.g. by jumping on their heads) or avoid them.
The game offers 50 levels divided between five areas in different corners of the globe. Each stage requires us to complete various objectives, such as collect all items of a certain type or defeat a certain number of enemies. It is also worth mentioning that MOP: Operation Cleanup is characterized by a high difficulty level.
The visuals in MOP: Operation Cleanup, released on PS4, WiiU, etc., are relatively simple and don't make a big impression. However, they are still pleasant to look at. Despite a rather gloomy vision of the world presented in the game, the graphics are colorful and the title has a light atmosphere.
