The MotoGP motorcycle world championship has had its official representation in video games since 2000, which in 2007 rested in the hands of the Italian studio Milestone. Since then, the developer has released successive installments of the series every year - with a few exceptions - and MotoGP 26, described here, is the sixteenth installment in the series of these racing productions.
The gameplay is realistic, but novice players can make it easier for themselves by enabling various assists - or by choosing the Arcade mode, which has been improved relative to MotoGP 25 (alternatively, there is a Pro mode for more advanced users). The physics have undergone a metamorphosis, increasing the impact of the riders' own movements on the handling of the machines.
The game recreates the 2026 season of MotoGP riders. It features authentic motorcycles, teams, riders and race tracks. In addition to the racing machines of the Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP classes, training vehicles are available. In addition to the Motard, Mini Bikes and Flat Track categories, which debuted in MotoGP 25 (along with dedicated asphalt and gravel tracks), road motorcycles with 1,000 ccm engines have been added.
As in previous installments, the cornerstone of the game is a singleplayer career mode, in which competition takes place in the Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP classes. To advance to a higher category, we must not only succeed on the tracks, but also take care of relationships with our team and other riders, as well as follow the transfer market (looking for opportunities to move to a team that gives us better development prospects). In addition, you need to gradually improve your bikes between races by talking to engineers and tweaking various machine parameters.
Achieving these goals is made more interesting with the addition of career innovations: press conferences and a personal manager. During the former, you can influence the course of the game by, for example, criticizing your rivals or pressuring your team to speed up work on improving your bike. The manager, on the other hand, helps with such things as negotiating contracts with teams or manufacturers and transfers on the rider market. In addition, the career mode has gained a more immersive environment in the form of a tri-dimensional paddock.
In addition to the various single-player modes - which in addition to the career mode includes high-speed racing and time trials - MotoGP 26 allows players to play with other players locally (on a split screen) or over the Internet. In the latter, up to 22 people can now race at the same time (this does not apply to the Switch 2 and Switch console versions, where the limit is still 12 players; they also do not support cross-play, unlike the rest of the platforms).
MotoGP 26 runs on Unreal Engine 5.

Game Ratings for MotoGP 26 Video Game.
Softpedia: 8 / 10 by Cosmin Vasile
MotoGP 26 continues to refine the series, and it has some notable additions. It’s more of an incremental upgrade rather than a massive new entry, but that’s fine. You get the latest tracks and riders from the real MotoGP, along with a great career mode, the exciting arcade control system and even Ride Off, which I found to be quite fun to mess around with.
GameSpew: 8 / 10 by Richard Seagrave
Thanks to a new rider-based handling model, the racing action found in MotoGP 26 both looks and feels better than ever. There are some welcome improvements to its Career mode, too, though there's nothing all that drastic. Ultimately, this is an evolution rather than a revolution.
GamingBolt: 7 / 10
MotoGP 26 doesn't meaningfully upgrade much of its catalog, but its large amount of content and wide range of accessibility options allow it to remain the definitive experience for MotoGP fans of all skill levels.
