In 1993, the game Mutant League Football was released on the Sega Mega Drive console. It served as a parody of American football, where instead of players, titular mutants fought for victory on the fields.

In 2017, Digital Dreams Entertainment released its spiritual successor titled Mutant Football League, which a year later received an updated and content-enriched version - Mutant Football League: Dynasty Edition. Years later, the developers returned to this brand, preparing Mutant Football League 2 sequel described here.

Gameplay

The gameplay in Mutant Football League 2 is based on the formula developed for the first part of the series. We are dealing with an arcade parody of American football. During the game we take control of a team consisting of eight players, scoring points and fighting for victory against opponents.

A field full of mutants

The game offers us a range of teams representing the professional league and lower leagues. Among them, we find teams like Karcass City Creeps, Killadelphia Evils, Blitzburgh Steelheads, Orcs of Hazards, and Tokyo Terminators. These teams are made up of players (such as mutated superhumans, powerful orcs, animated skeletons, or futuristic robots) who are diversified in terms of size, skills, and strengths and weaknesses.

Brutal fight for victory

The fight for victory takes on a more literal dimension here than in classic American football. We have a variety of weapons and dirty tricks at their disposal, and referees can also fall victim to the on-field battles.
