MXGP 2: The Official Motocross Videogame

MXGP 2: The Official Motocross Videogame for PC, XONE and PS4 is a continuation of the a 2014 release - a racing game devoted to one of the most impressive motor sports – the motocross. Once again Milestone, the experienced Italian studio known for such series as SBK: Superbike World Championship, MotoGP or RIDE is in charge of developing the game. Unlike previous instalment of the game released on PC / Windows and 7th and 8th video game consoles generation, MXGP 2: The Official Motocross Videogame is published only for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Gameplay

The game’s mechanics are basically the same if compared to the previous installment from 2014. The developers put a considerable emphasis on realism with the intention of stimulating the experiences of riding a motocross, so that players could feel the same adrenaline rush the real riders do. Roars of engine, dust and mud are all there. Just like the previous game, the production is based on Youthstream license, which ensures a wide range of riders and teams from 2015 season along with accurately recreated tracks, including the most famous off-road ones, plus indoor arenas. A rider’s looks and his machine’s parameters can both be customized.

Game modes

The core element of the game is single player, which – interestingly – can be played offline and online as well. Signing a new contract with a team that competes in MXGP championship, you are in control of a young rider, who climbs up the motocross carrier ladder. While striving for the champion title, you will have to outdo famous riders from all over the world, such as Ryan Villopoto, Tony Cairoli or Romain Febvre. The game introduces numerous modes allowing for racing with AI and online players.

Technical aspects

As the target platforms are now next-gen consoles and PC, MXGP 2: The Official Motocross Game for PC, XONE and PS4 features a substantially improved graphics specifically optimized for modern computers and consoles.
