It's 2250's. Somewhere in space a UESC-Katsuragi class spacecraft is heading towards the distant planet Caprice-12. On board there is a space marines employed by an unnamed galaxy corporation, simply called Kompania. The marines, commanded by Lieutenant Mossnack and android of the Company, Shepherd, are designed to suppress the rebellion of Neo-Commie members who have filtered the main settlements on Caproce-12, which belong to the Company. Upon arriving at the site, Shepherd discovers that there are no traces of human beings on the planet, but that its entire surface has been captured by the aliens. Mossback asks for permission to "cleanse" the planet, but the Company has ordered that several alien specimens be collected for research.

That's the short story of Negative Space, an isometric shooter with a large dose of tactical elements, maintained in the S-F convention, running on a very modified and improved version of the Serious Sam engine. The action of Negative Space takes place mainly in stations and space bases, and the player plays the role of the commander of the mentioned marines unit. The game offers us elements of RPG - missions, character development, non-linear plot development, as well as vehicles - tanks or APC, with which we move on the surface of the planet.

During the game you can freely switch control between the different margins, and with the help of keyboard commands you can give commands to the others. It turns out that collecting alien samples can be a very dangerous task, and survival depends on the extermination of enemies who appear in massive numbers. Graphically, Negative Space looks pretty good, but the game itself will appeal to players who like fast-paced action. An interesting fact is the solution of opening the door leading to the next sections - we do not have to bend around the entire station in search of access cards or keys, instead, a system of breaking the security - on a special panel we have to find the appropriate sequence of numbers activating the opening of the door.
