The plot of this project presents us with a postapocalyptic vision of the world: in 2029, as a result of a huge comet hitting the Earth and the cataclysms occurring on this occasion, the existence of the human race was seriously endangered. Despite the enormous destruction, none of the homo sapiens had any intention of surrendering. On the contrary, the inhabitants of the once blue planet began a laborious process of civilization reconstruction, which was quickly defeated by the forces of nature.
The New Dawn Action takes place several hundred years after a terrible catastrophe. The player takes control of a man named Seth, who lost his memory as a result of mysterious experiments. Having regained consciousness in the gloomy prison dungeons, our hero decides to escape from the trap and look for answers to the questions that bother him in a strange and completely incomprehensible world. The only clue in his further journey is an old diary - a notepad with a few mysterious notes. With their help, our client must prepare to live in an alien universe, and then proceed to carry out a series of missions, which are part of a non-linear plot.
Despite the fact that the authors impose their hero on us from above, we can freely modify his attributes, influencing such attributes as health, strength, fitness, dexterity, intelligence, perception and charisma. If we want, we can also invite other characters to cooperate, who together with Seth will form a team, capable of defeating the dangerous inhabitants of the postapocalyptic world. It should be remembered that in battles with predators and opponents with human traits we are not allowed to use magic. For balance, however, the programmers took care of a wide range of weapons (Uzi, swords, crossbows, energy sticks, etc.) and elixirs.
All the events presented in New Dawn are observed in isometric projection. The Truevision 3D engine is responsible for its proper operation. It is also worth mentioning the fact that the game allows you to fight in turn-based as well as real mode, with the use of an active pause system.
