Nirvana is an unusual hybrid FPS (first person shooter) with RPG (role playing game) elements, being at the same time the debut program of a group of German programmers created by four passionate enthusiasts, gathered under the flag of Nirvana-Team.

The storyline takes the player into the near future, into a completely ruined and destroyed post-apocalyptic world. The everyday life there is the destruction of big cities, fire, the effects of radioactive warfare agents, old, underground and cramped tunnels, as well as deserted, barred warehouses and frightened society, locked in their homes - it all provides a dark and very atmospheric environment. The uniqueness of this production lies in the fact that it is a peculiar mixture of two different species of barefoot - FPS and RPG. More important is the first mode (throughout the game the user observes the virtual world from the first person's perspective), which the creators compare to the best Splinter Cell scripts. Elements of RP games, whose inspiration can be found in such productions as Fallout or Morrowind, manifest themselves mainly in the creation of their own hero, as well as in their influence on the world around the player. Another aspect is the non-linearity of the game, which lets you know about yourself from the first to the last mission - the shape of the game changes depending on the decision and actions of the player.
