No Plan B is a strategy game in which you create complex tactical action plans for special forces, and then have to passively watch as they are executed, without the ability to correct your orders. The game was developed by the one-man studio GFX47.
No Plan B is a tactical strategy game that allows you to command a special forces unit. The game was developed independently by Sebastien Dubois, the developer known for Gladiabots, as a one-man studio GFX47.
In No Plan B, the player's task is to create tactical plans for special forces soldiers. Our role ends with the start of the operation. When the subordinates go into action, we can only passively watch them execute our orders; we do not have the ability to give commands during action.
The game offers an extensive interface for creating tactical plans. Not only can we plan the soldiers' moves in detail, but also synchronize their actions by arranging them on a timeline. The squad members are not mindless - they have their own intelligence and can react to a limited extent to the situation on the map. However, without a good plan they have no chance of survival. A key role is also played by selecting operators for a given mission and assigning them appropriate equipment.
The game is made more attractive by a large variety of missions. We deal with eliminating targets, collecting hostages or even bank robberies.
Game offers only single player mode. No Plan B allows you to play in solo battles or in non-linear campaign mode. In the second option, we choose missions on our own and our resources, including personnel, are not reset between tasks, so we have to limit casualties and save the most valuable equipment.
Completing the campaign provides our troops with experience and upgrades, allowing us to take on even tougher challenges the next time we play this mode or in standalone missions.
An additional attraction is the support for mods, including a mission editor that allows you to create your own tasks and play in those prepared by other users.
No Plan B features strongly stylized 3D graphics. The author did not try to create realistic characters. Instead, they are strongly angular and quite caricatured.
