A TPP action adventure game for mobile devices, inspired by the The Legend of Zelda series, and the first production by COMPASSGAMES of Kuwait. Oraia Rift: Oracle of Oraia is set in an expansive fantasy world, consisting of 10 large locations; some of them consist of islands floating in mid-air, while others resemble classic dungeons, full of traps and monsters.
Oraia Rift: Oracle of Oraia is the third action adventure game, strongly inspired by the classic series The Legend of Zelda, known mainly from Nintendo consoles. Released on iOS mobile devices, the production is the first major project of COMPASSGAMES, founded in 2009 in Kuwait and so far only cooperating with other game developers.
The action of the game takes place in a vast land of fantasy, consisting of 10 extended locations. Some of them have the form of connected islets suspended in the clouds, although there are also classic dungeons filled with traps and monsters in the game. Fun mechanics clearly draws on cult Japanese productions about Link's adventures, and the gameplay focuses on exploration, opening various types of boxes and closed doors, solving simple logic puzzles and fighting against various enemies. This one was made in a typical hack'n'slash style, although during the fight, apart from classic weapons, we can also use spells, e.g. slowing down the opponent.
Oraia Rift on iOS features nice hand-drawn graphics reminiscent of productions from the times of the first PlayStation. Despite the modest budget, the whole is at a high level, and individual locations and opponents do not give the impression of repetition. Three different control diagrams are also worth mentioning. Our hero can be controlled either in a way typical for RPG games (i.e. by pointing with a finger directly on the screen) or with the help of proper action games of a virtual pad. The production also cooperates with external game controllers.
