Override 2: Super Mech League Description
Override 2: Super Mech League is a brawler in which we control giant robots - mechs. The game is a sequel to Override: Mech City Brawl from 2018. Modus Games is responsible for its development and release (the developer is a Brazilian team - Modus Studios Brazil).
Plot
Override 2: Super Mech League takes place seven years after the events of the previous part. The race of aliens who have invaded the Earth - Xenotypes - was defeated and destroyed, and the robots used in that conflict are now tools for entertainment. Steel giants compete in special competitions that are followed by millions of fans.
Mechanics
In Override 2: Super Mech League we look at the game world from a third person perspective ( TPP). The mechanics governing the game is similar to the previous version - by controlling your machine you take part in clashes, trying to eliminate enemies. It is worth noting that the arenas are full of various types of threats and additional elements - such as platforms, geysers or lava pools.
Players have several dozen different machines at their disposal - each of them has different weapons and special abilities. Some of them are heavy and rely on endurance, others move much faster and check better to avoid attacks. You can also adjust the mechs to your expectations by changing the parts in your garage (we also have an influence on their look thanks to the cosmetic items).
In addition, in Override 2: Super Mech League fights are more dynamic than in the first part, and the robots have better weight mapped.
Game modes
In Override 2: Super Mech League we can play alone or with others. The game offers a career mode, in which we play the role of a pilot who is gradually gaining in fame. Besides, we have Ranked Rumbles mode at our disposal (we fight duels and climb up the ranking). Xenoswarm (we defend ourselves against aliens) or King of the Hill (we fight to control a certain place on the map). It is worth noting that apart from 1 vs. 1 clashes, the game allows you to play in pairs or free-for-all (four people max).
Technical aspects
Override 2: Super Mech League has an attractive, three-dimensional graphic design. The mech models designed by the authors make a great impression and the locations are very different and have a solid level of detail. Lighting effects accompanying individual attacks also attract attention.
