PayDay: The Heist for PC and PS3 is a cooperative first person shooter, in which players assume the role of criminals robbing banks. The game was created by Stockholm based Overkill Software studio. PayDay: The Heist is the first project of the developer.

The great bank robberies were a subject of numerous movies, TV series, books and comics. The authors of PayDay: The Heist, a first person shooter with a cooperative mode, decided to enable players to take part in such “enterprises”, and assume the role of the masked criminals. For people who prefer solo gaming, companions led by artificial intelligence were prepared.

The basic version of the game includes six varied heists - from a “visit” to the bank, up to an attempt to rescue a prisoner from an armored transport car. In each of the missions, up to four players cooperate between themselves, who have to incapacitate the security, get hostages under control, stand guard, avoid various types of security devices, in order to finally steal what they came for. The players can share their ammunition and first-aid kits, support each other in combat, or protect the rear.
